Can't Locate "My Pictures" Folder
Hi, I'm having trouble with the My Pictures folder in Windows 7 (Ultimate 64). I tried to move the default "My Pictures" folder (which was in my user folder) into "My Documents," but now it doesn't show up anywhere - not under "my documents" nor under my user folder. I'm able to create a new folder in my user folder with the name "my pictures," but i don't believe it's a shell folder. If I try to create a "my pictures" folder in "my documents," it says there already exists a folder with that name in that location - but there's not (or, at least, I can't see it)! All I want is to have a "my pictures" folder within "my documents!" Can anyone help? Thanks, Dan

Can you see it browsing your hard drive? Should be in: C:\Users\(User Account)\My Pictures But, you tried moving it into: C:\Users\(User Account)\My Documents\My Pictures? Also, good ol' log off/log back in to refresh your profile.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you all! lonewolf: I tried viewing hidden files/folders - no good. Al: Search doesn't turn anything up. stealthfield: I'm not able to see it browsing my hard drive. I did try the operation you described, which lead to the problem. And, this problem has been going on for weeks - I've restarted my computer numerous times, to no avail. thanks for your help! anyone have any other ideas?

You might have to get 3rd party un-delete program, if you have written over it already
